Metropolitan Museum of Art joins the New York CityPass
New York CityPass adds The Metropolitan Museum of Art as the sixth blockbuster ticket in its booklet of must-see attractions in New York City. CityPass®, known for assembling North American big-city destinations’ most popular museum and attractions tickets into one time-and money-saving booklet, announces a new era of its New York CityPass. Available June 1, 2007, New York CityPass features the iconic Empire State Building Observatory, a Circle Line Sightseeing cruise, and four of the world’s most important museums: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Guggenheim Museum, and the American Museum of Natural History and Rose Center. Priced at $65 for adults – a $130 value – New York CityPass represents a travel savings of 50% off individually purchased attraction tickets.

New York CityPass Adds Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to savings booklet
New York CityPass added the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Immigration Museum to its 2008-9 program booklet, effective May 1, 2008. The time and money-saving ticket booklet, a select assortment of marquee New York attractions and experiences, offers an option to land at Liberty and Ellis islands with Statue Cruises, a new National Park Service operator. At almost half-off savings, New York CityPass takes a meaningful bite out of Big Apple travel costs.
CityPass travelers now have a chance to take their time to see Lady Liberty. An option ticket–the sixth, with five other single-attraction admissions in CityPass booklets–offers a choice to depart from Battery Park on Statue Cruises, cross to Liberty Island and disembark for close-up, neck-stretching proximity to the United States’ most powerful symbol of freedom, democracy and international friendship. Also included is entry to Ellis Island’s immigration museum and exhibits, a reminder of the millions who passed through the historic facilities as immigrants. Three to five hours are recommended to take full advantage of this access to distinguished, legendary American landmarks.
The other choice of the Option Ticket is a Circle Line Harbor Cruise along the edges of Manhattan, an expertly narrated tour of show-stopping views, the city skyline, lower Manhattan, Statue of Liberty, bridges and tunnels, memorable characters and dramatic moments. The boat cruise, with photo opportunities that trump taxi window angles, requires only two hours.
Time is money in this world capital. From trip planning to pushing open attraction doors, CityPass clears the way. Five other carefully selected tickets let first-time and repeat visitors avoid sometimes-lengthy ticket lines and gain easy

Hats off to Houston, Texas,
CityPass®, Inc. announces that Houston, Texas, is the 11th destination to get the popular visitor cost-saving program, joining New York, Southern California, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco, Hollywood, and Atlanta. Houston CityPass is a collection of the city’s most-visited, wide-ranging attractions, and includes NASA’s Space Center Houston®, notable art, science and health museums in the heart of the cultural district, Houston’s world-class zoo, a historic aquarium, and a Texas living history site on a 23,000-acre working ranch. Two option tickets allow visitors to customize their Houston vacation when they select two of four very different attractions.
The CityPass concept is simple: A pocket-size booklet contains actual tickets to attractions, transportation directions, attraction hours and information--including best times to visit, a map, and expert recommendations from the pages of National Geographic Traveler, the most widely read magazine for inquisitive travelers. It is a Houston itinerary for new or repeat visitors. CityPass ticket holders have the added benefit of avoiding most ticket lines.
CityPass Houston savings compliment Houston’s vacation affordability. Adult ticket booklets are $34 (a $65 value) saving $31; youth, ages 4-11, $24 (a $45 value), saving $21 over the price of individually purchased attraction admissions.
